Hosting

Each year, ectarc welcomes over 300 people from different areas of  Europe, such as Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Hungary, through the Leonardo da Vinci Programme. All students start with a language course in Llangollen, followed by a 3-month voluntary work placement in their own field of training.  Our ‘hosting needs' for participants include placements in work and accommodation in local homes.

Host companies

The companies and organisations that host our trainees for work placements have found it to be a very worthwhile experience. The participant usually proves to be a useful addition to the company's staff and links can be formed and ideas exchanged with someone from a different country and culture.

If you want to find out more about work placements in companies, please go to our 'hosting in your company' page.

Host Families

While the participants are on their language course and work placements,  they stay with host families, so that they can really integrate into Welsh/English society and learn about life in the UK.

If you are interested in becoming a host family, please have a look at our 'hosting in your home' page.
